For the occasion of 17th May – Constitution Day of Norway, as gratefulness to the donor and financier of the project “Integrated bilingual primary school”, a formal ceremony has been held in the school premises, accompanied by a short speech of the Director of NDC Skopje, Sasko Stojkovski and the Mayor of Jegunovce Municipality, Toni Koceski.
Congratulations, gratefulness and wishes will be sent on behalf of the school to the Norwegian people through Ms. Bente Knagenhjelm, a representative of the management of Nansen Network from Norway, who honored us with her presence on this occasion.
All this would have looked too serious if it wasn’t for the surprise from the students. They have surprised the guests and the parents and with support from their teachers and NDC Skopje team, the students have evaluated memories from last year’s victory of Norway on the Eurosong contest.
Like true professionals, Sara Simovska, Anita Aliti and Driton Fejzuli in the capacity of Elena Risteska from Macedonia, Kejsi Tolja from Albania and Aleksandar Rubek from Norway have represented their countries and caused a lot of smiles, sighs and long applause from the audience.
The event has been closed by Ms. Bente Knagenhjelm, who gave a short speech about the importance of this day for Norway, gratefulness about the invitation and assurance that she will give her vote to Macedonia on the Eurosong contest 2010 in Oslo, mentioning that this Eurosong contest that has been realized in the school is much more beautiful because the songs are being performed by children.
And now, we will leave you to be part of the celebration of this day and our children’s Eurosong contest through video.
Third day of Easter. Following the tradition, friends visit each other and exchange red Easter eggs between themselves, saying Hristos Voskrese – Navistina Voskrese.
Today, we – the teachers and students of IBPS Fridtjof Nansen from the village Preljubiste, have also attended the Easter table of the family Simoski in the village Preljubiste.
The purpose of this visit was for the students in first grade from both ethnic communities to get to know the traditional customs related to Easter Holidays.
At the entrance of their home, the hostess Lidija Simoska has greeted us with a warm welcome and after that, she took care each child to be seated by the rich Easter table, prepared by her. Besides food, the table was plentiful with Easter decoration, a basket with eggs colored in many colors. The happiness of the children was huge.
Before leaving their home, according to the customs, the hosts have given a red Easter egg to each child.
Special gratitude to the family Simoski, who have contributed that we and the students feel pleasant in their home and also to realize the purpose of our visit.
On 01.04.2010, Thursday, Fools Day, all students from I and II grade from the village Preljubiste have been masked with different costumes which were very beautiful.
After they came to school, we were organized and jointly went to the school from the village Zilce, where we have gathered together with the students from that school, who have been also masked in a very interesting way. We have joined them and paraded together through the streets of the village, i.e. from the school in the village Zilce to the stadium in the village.
After we have arrived on the stadium, all children have been lined up and the most successful masks have been selected. On our pleasure, among the most successful masks were also those of the students from our school: “Snowwhite and the 7 dwarfs” (Kate – Snezana and Rilend, Juled, Adi, Veton, Drilon, Ahmet, Ljavdrim – the 7 dwarfs) and “Skeleton” (Igor).
At the end, the children were given small gifts as a reward for the victory and after that we have returned to school, where we continued the extracurricular activities.
